So, day one, I suppose. I'm not going to try to impress anyone, or be anything other than myself. I'm not here to try to meet anyone, and I don't necessarily need advice. I need motivation, a fresh start, and a new outlook on life. I know this isn't going to be easy, but I'm ready. I've waited too long, and I'm tired of wishing to be thin every time I blow out the candles on my birthday cake. About my weight... I've been overweight pretty much all my life. It didn't bother me until I reached the fourth grade. I became more self-concious then, and from then on, I've been packing on the pounds. I weighed 150 pounds in the firth grade at 5'4. Puberty hit, I lost a bit of weight in sixth/seventh grade. Gained most of it back in eighth grade. My weight stayed pretty constant for a few years, and then slowly started to creep up on me. Now I weigh a whopping 180 pounds (about). I'm about 5'7 or 5'8. Basically, I'm really unhealthy. I went to the gym with a personal trainer over the summer, didn't lose much. In fact, I gained ten pounds. My eating habits didn't change, but I guess I gained a lot of muscle. It's not what I'm looking for. I recently joined the volleyball team. We have practice five days a week for two hours. It doesn't seem to be helping. I'm not losing hope, though. I'm going to start incorporating a better diet, little by little. Current Mood: calm
